A familiar landmark in Glasgow's Merchant City area for centuries, the Tron Theatre was established as a theatre club in 1979. Following a £5 million redevelopment in 1999, the Tron emerged as a stunning collection of historical buildings and stylish new spaces designed by leading Scottish Architects RMJM.
The Cablenet tensioned wire grid installed here consists of a circular frame (8 metre diameter) with integral sub-frame. Horizontal lighting bars which are supported from the sub-frame as the dome ceiling above could not be disturbed.
We can install Cablenet in new buildings or retro-fit to old; we can construct it in virtually any size or shape; and, using the experience we’ve gained since first introducing the system more than 20 years ago, we can design it to provide an economical solution to even the most challenging of building layouts.
