A uniquely shaped Cablenet tension wire grid system was recently installed at the Downtown Centre / St. Petersburg College in Florida. Covering 1,900sq/ft with access via a cat ladder from rear of stage, it incorporated a gated platform within the net. All fabrication and installation work was undertaken within the USA by Slingco America, Inc.

The client decided to use the Slingco Cablenet system due to its lighter frame appearance, plus the fact that it could be tailor made to fit around the perimeter of the unusually shaped room. Importantly too, Slingco's system can be retensioned.

  • Architect: Canerday, Belfsky + Arroyo Architects Inc.
  • Main contractor: Biltmore Construction
  • Client: St Petersburg College
...everyone that we have met with at Slingco has been a pleasure to work with. It was an interesting project and I feel that we all came out of it in a win, win, win, situation...
