The Square Chapel Arts Centre is located in the heart of Halifax, offering a mix of shows, events and workshops. Having outgrown the previous building, they began an ambitious modernisation plan that has resulted in a venue, with additional facilities for the actors and the public, that now caters for double the audience for shows and films.
The Cablenet installation designed for the venue comprises two grids at different heights. The high level grid is 2m x 9.3m and then the adjacent grid located at a slightly lower level is 7.4m x 8.1m.
The Slingco team worked closely with theatre consultant Arup, and the main contractors Wildgoose Construction Ltd during the design and installation of the Cablenet.
