Birmingham Repertory Theatre, is a producing theatre based in the city centre.
The Cablenet tension wire grid at this theatre is one long wire grid – 16.2 x 21.1 m – with an access hatch opening to allow the lifting of equipment. A central beam was installed to divide the grid and allow tension to be maintained in both sections of the grid.
The presence of a pit on the floor of the auditorium meant that a temporary access floor had to be provided to allow the safe installation of the grid.
The theatre consultants were Charcoal Blue and Carillion the main contractor.
We can install Cablenet in new buildings or retro-fit to old; we can construct it in virtually any size or shape; and, using the experience we’ve gained since first introducing the system more than 20 years ago, we can design it to provide an economical solution to even the most challenging of building layouts.
