Students and staff at the ACS school in Cobham, Surrey recently welcomed the installation of a Cablenet Tension Wire Grid in their new Performing Arts Centre.
The 200 square metre, custom-made tension wire grid was designed and installed above the entire 509-seat auditorium and stage.
The inclusion of the Cablenet ‘virtual floor’ means that students have the opportunity to explore the technical side of performing arts, working with sound and lighting systems via the walk-on grid. Access is safe and easy, removing the need for scaffolding towers and fixed walkways.
The walk-on tension wire grid helps students explore theatre sound and lighting from above.
We can install Cablenet in new buildings or retro-fit to old; we can construct it in virtually any size or shape; and, using the experience we’ve gained since first introducing the system more than 20 years ago, we can design it to provide an economical solution to even the most challenging of building layouts.
